As I write this post Spring is arriving late here. My birthday is tomorrow and still no peonies! My lilacs have begun to bloom, but nothing else is in bloom yet. I long for the warm Spring air filled with the fragrance of flowers, but am left with frigid temperatures and freezing rain. Lillian has never set foot outside, it is too cold for her little body. She had her first grooming because her fine puppy fur was so matted I could not stand it and I shaved her way too short! She is currently furless and identifies as a hairless cat...or so she told me ;) lol!
Needless to say, no freezing rain for her...or moi. My husband surprised me this birthday with an electric trike. I am having mobility issues...more on that another time...I could fill an entire post with that, oh mylanta don't get me started.
In the house I currently have all of the Easter items out. I cannot seem to part with them this year. Does anyone else feel a tinge of sadness when they pack away the past seasons decor? Or am I just weird like that? Wait, don't answer that!
I apologize in advance for Lillian, she is an unabashed notorious photobomber...she has no shame. She shows up in all my photos now...teeeheee. So without further ado....and because my guest is about to show up for my day of birthday pampering...or as I told my husband, my birthMONTH pampering. Got to work it ladies ;) here is our home in Spring of 2022...Welcome in my friends, stay awhile why don't you?!
Spode dishes and crown linen design napkins...need I say more? I think not.Rabbits oh glorious rabbits, how I simply adore you my darlings. I keep rabbits in my decor year round.
The cutest little wabbit of all...Miss Lillian Grace. I told you she was shameless! On the table even!
My table also has a bit of nostalgia. These are my Grandma's chickees and ducklings.
Faux chocolate rabbits and Ranunculus are a few of my favorite things. Sung in my Julie Andrews singing voice ;) of course.
Lillian is Muuuuuch better than champagne...wait Lillian you sneaky beasty, how did you get up there?!
Vintage glass Easter baskets are so very elegant. I love Indiana Glass Company glass. Another fav.
Lillian has stolen the show again. She told me she was truly the Easter Bunny & it was her basket.
Here is the proof , just look at her ears...LillyBunny is her new name. Never been a prettier Easter Bunny.
One of our clients even bought pearls for Lillian for her Easter outfit. Here she is in her Mermaid sweater, because she identifies as a Mermaid one day a week.
Her puppy eyes melt my hearts...Lilly is the bringer of joy, love & a whole lot of clothes. In fact she has more closet space than I do!
My Spring hand poured candles I call Floral Elegance...Rose, OakMoss, Lilac, Peony, Gardenia & Orange Blossom.
Fleur de lis eggs that I decoupaged a few years ago. Made some for my Mom & Sister too.
Giant vintage faux white chocolate Easter Bunny that my Mom gifted me. Love her!
I will leave you with the simplicity and beauty of Ranunculus. So beautiful. Happy Spring my friends!
