This year I am filled with joy and anticipation with the coming of Spring. New life, nature waking up from a cold winter's slumber. The smell of fresh flowers and so much more. Spring brings with it a renewal of hope, that life will come again. I am reminded when things begin to grown and bloom that one day Jesus will
return and make all things right and new again.
We have been walking through major change that has been very difficult, but very necessary. I am so grateful to God for ushering in this new season in our life and walking with us through the difficult seasons and or situations in life. Thankful for the strength and perseverance He has developed in us.
This June we will be painting the exterior of the home, installing the new lights and all the accessories. I cannot wait! The landscaping is a work in progress, but at least the house will be white, yay!
It is starting to warm up to the high 50's. I even took Lillian on a bike ride last weekend! She was cold but loved it! I so enjoyed decorating our new home for Spring this year. Without further ado I bring you the first Spring at The Little White House, welcome in friends!
I love rabbits and usually keep one or two of them up year round. Because why not?!
A few years ago I made this faux naked cake. I love to change it up in different seasons.
Tables are my favourite thing to design & style for each holiday or season. I would do it 24/7 if I could!
Cutlery, oh cutlery...how I doth love thee...and have way to many of thee! I have run out of room.
Love using bible verses on each place setting with or without name cards. There are so many lovely card sets.
Hobby Lobby has beautiful faux fruit and veggies. I purchased for my grans play kitchen and ended up using for my table. :)
Gorgeous faux white cake by Aunt Becky's Bakery from etsy. Check her out, her designs are beautiful.
Love this vintage Indiana diamond point glass basket from the Princess Tiara collection. I found these knitted egg holders on etsy, grass from the dollar store (in a nice green colour), and painted these gold faux chocolate bunnies to silver & pewter.
Faux macaroons are my fav! I purchased these from a shop in Australia. I learned to make my own last summer and it is addicting!
Found this elegant rabbit glass trifle dish at Marshalls this year along with matching goblets.
Tired of my rabbits yet? Too bad...more rabbits are in your future!
And a few sheep!
Pink pillows just make me happy, and so does anything from Crown Linen Design Arte Italica.
Customized this darling little kitchen for my grans. Can't wait to see them enjoying it.
Glued things down (until they are older) so they won't break the porcelain items. Love this vintage cheeseboard am using as the breadboard. I used paperclay to make these litle faux pink bon bons for them.
I glued these magnetic dry erase boards to the fridge & freezer so they can colour & use letter/number magnets.
Another faux cake from Aunt Becky's Bakery. I added flowers to the top, so fun!
Faux cupcakes in the cooling zone.Ross have very inexpensive cute pans and cooking items.
Hobby Lobby has great faux breads and cheeses...well and all kinds of fun play items.
Using my Pottery Barn small colander, it fits perfectly in the sink! Faux strawberries from, yep you guessed it...Hobbly Lobby!
Used this rabbit shelf as a corbel and one of my cast iron hooks for their hot mitts.
Came out just darling!I custom paint the faux chocolate rabbits I find if they are the wrong colour.
These faux ice cream cones from Amazon are so realistic. I plan on getting the pink and green too!
You can find very inexpensive kitchens at thriftstores, take them apart, paint them and assecorize them very inexpensively. I did buy this kitchen from Amazon for $125.00 and added my own decorative touches.
Whew! Time to rest after all of that decorating. I hope you have a wonderful Spring season and a blessed Easter.
Hugs~Larisa
