As I write this post Summer is poised to burst onto the scene, with spectacular sunny days next week! How excited all the children on our culdesac are. With the close of their school year having commenced Friday, they are so ready for fun summer days. I remember the pure joy and excited of past summer days. My girls would be counting down the days until the first day of summer vacation. The pool would be full and ready, water balloons stocked, popsicles frozen, fridge stocked, new summer clothes purchased, (new swimsuits were their favs), water guns ready, boat cleaned and ready for the lake, craft supplies stocked and Hello fun sunny days and lots of sleepovers! I am so glad I have so many happy memories with my girls to hold onto. Make sure to make lots of them with your kiddos, because before you know it they are grown and gone, raising their own families. Treasure even the smallest of moments with them.
Surprise announcement...we are officially putting the house on the market and will be moving hopefully later this summer, stay tuned! I hope all of you have the most glorious summer and that you renew your mind in a fresh new way with His Word. Without further ado, here is my summer decor 2022.
Here are some of my macaroons. I hand blended my acrylic paints to create custom blue colours.I used napkins to decoupage the tops.
I stop by my table and swoon over them daily. Such eye candy! Best part is I don't gain any weight having them in the house! Good for my low sugar lifestyle.
I just love hydrangeas. My blooms are so huge every year now! I have pink and whites in my yard. I need some blues of my own. I heard that it's the PH of the soil that turns them blue.My favourite china pattern; Windor by Ridgway of Staffordshire England. I love transferware. What's not to love with this pattern? Bird, flowers and fleur de lis, oh my!
Love this antique mini schnauzer. He is holding my vanilla honey tea or coffee spoons. Found this lovely vintage blue and white two tiered desert plate.I freshened up the hardware with my signature pewter colour.
My first peony blooms of the summer. So exciting. They bloomed almost a month late this year. My large white bush did not bloom at all :(
Faux desserts are fast becoming a favourite thing for me to play with in my decor. My sister & I are planning a girls playdate to craft and learn faux desserts together. If our schedules could just line up and my body cooperate it will happen.
These are my fav decoupage blue and white napkins. Marshalls has beautiful paper napkins! I have been banned from bringing home anymore...that pesky space problem.
Found these elegant cobalt blue quilted placemats with scalloped edges...you had me add scalloped edges...or ruffles...you get me.
Our place cards where pretty shabby and so I remade them this year. After 13 years of use it was time.
