Valentines 2022

As I sit here and write this post my heart is full of love for our new addition Miss Lillian Grace. She is carefully tucked into the large pocket in my t-shirt designed for babies. She is tiny, smart, spunky, joyful and full of sass...the good kind of sass! We brought her home Friday, after 7 months of waiting for her, planning and waiting some more after plans fell through. Sometimes our best laid plans are laid waste by circumstances beyond our control. In that though, God's timing is ALWAYS perfect, even when we don't see it in our small view of the situation. That is why we must put our faith and trust in His ways and His timing. We hope to bring home another sweet bundle of love and puppy kisses (Beatrice Rose), later this year or even next year...God's timing, not ours.

This year, the same as last year actual Valentines we celebrated on another day because a work day leaves us both exhausted. Without further ado his is the house decor for this Valentines Day. Welcome in, let's share a dark chocolate salted caramel...or two!

Crown linen designs for the table linens is fast becoming a fav around our home!

Last years tablescape...very feminine, full of pink, vintage items, cherubs and feathers. It was so fun!

See candies butterscotch squares are my fav. The are the brown sugar just before it caramelizes. Reminds me of my childhood. We were not allowed very much sugar, so what a treat a lump of brown sugar on a spoon was when my Mom baked. Precious memories of my Mom's delicious cooking.

Delightful pink Macaroons made by a sweet friend...I purchased everything to make my own. It will be a fun project to do with my sister time. I am enjoying fun sister time after 30 years of my sister being stationed all over the world with her military husband. Retirement from the military and off to new adventures, a vineyard for one and working for a non profit for military veterans who are homeless. She will be very busy for this next year, but hopefully we will establish some fun sister date tradtions!

Another one of my friend Debra's beautiful dessert creations! She is one creative & talented lady! I love watching what she comes up with next!

I purchased this from the sweetest lady, who was very down on her luck after her husband passed away from cancer. I remember her and still pray for her. She was a gentle kind lady. Cancer robs us of so much. It's devastating. I have been affected on both sides of my family and also my husbands family.

My table would not be complete without an vintage cherub or two...I used this in my Christmas decor as well. I just love saving money that way. Finding things at thrift stores supports the community in so many ways. Donating is important too! I feel better about spending when I support charity and reuse items in multiple seasons, don't you?!

Oh how I love pink English and German transferware! It's such a work of art. Look up on youtube on how English transferware is made at the Spode factory with the same copper prints from the 1700's!

I used a candy heart box from sees to make this pretty pink floral candy box. I painted it with a dusty pink paint and added my fav floral wall paper. I keep the first Valentine my husband made at school when he was five inside it. It is special to me.

My Christmas Swan appears at Valentines too. Along with her Cygnets, of course! She was another fun project that left me with glue gun scars!

And of course the most fun part of my Valentines is this precious Maltese Puppy Miss Lillian Grace...the Princess of our household! This is her very first drink of milk moments after she was born.

Her eyes were not open yet here. Caught in a puppy yawn.

So very tiny, weighing just 5oz at birth, she is so precious!

And she finally opened her eyes. She is growing at the breeders.

The day we brought her home! She is 24oz today! So adorable and tiny!

She rides in her Mommy's pocket in the front of her t-shirt (made for infants, I stuff it with blankets because she is so tiny).

I love my Mama and soft minky blankets. I love to play in my playpen too!

I am 6 weeks old. Spoiled but still a very good girl. I am eating normally, pooing and pottying on my pottypad.  I don't whine or cry and am kennel trained already!

I am my Mommy's favorite Valentines! Thanks you Daddy. I am a Daddy's girl already. I have my Daddy wrapped around my little paw. Happy Valentines Day from our home to yours!
