Spring Home 2019

Ahh the smell of Spring. When they say Spring is in the air, it truly is! Spring is my favorite season. I see God's hand recreating beauty after the death of winter. His color palette never ceases to amaze me. I marvel at the beauty of it every year, as if I am seeing it for the first time. The renewing of Spring always brings me to the atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross. It fills me with hope that He has renewed us who choose to believe in Him, by the power of His Holy Spirit. He cleanses away our sins and makes us a new person, forgiven, and free of the bondage of sin.  He give us new mercies every morning, and strengthens us for what lies ahead. Spring is a beautiful depiction of His making all things new again. It is incredible how He loves us. I am reminded that His grace is truly sufficient for us.

I had so much fun this Spring with my discovery of the Peony flower. The colors, intricacy of it's ruffled petals,  layer upon layer, how they slowly open up to the most lovely, sweet, fresh aromatic delight! Need I say more? Peonies are now my very favorite flower. Geogianna Lane's book on Peonies is a spectacular must have coffee table book. It is so beautiful, and has excellent historical information, as well as growing tips. Last year I discovered the heavenly smell and beauty of stalk. Oh how I thank God for flowers. They bring us such joy. Without further adieu, here is our home all decorated for Spring!
