- 1/2 cup sugar
 - 1 cup fresh blackberries
 - 1/2 tsp cinnamon
 - 1/4 tsp nutmeg
 - 3 cup all purpose flour
 - 2-1/2 tsp baking powder
 - 1/2 tsp baking soda
 - 1 cup buttermilk
 - 3/4 cup butter
 
Directions:
- Preheat oven.
 - Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl.
 - Cut in butter.
 - Mix in the buttermilk and then add berries.
 - Knead to form dough.
 - Form dough in 3-4" balls, place on lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten.
 - Sprinkle with sugar; bake.
 - Remove to racks to cool, serve slightly warm.
 
Cook
Temp: 400°F
Cook Time: 15-17 Minutes 
Serve With: Coffee or tea.
Notes: Whole family likes these. 
Yields: 22-24 Scones
