I think I must be Southern, lol! I love southern people, southern
cooking, southern humor, southern hospitality, humidity, the sun,
southern decor, southern style homes, decorative flags, sweet tea &
porches...oh how I love porches! We were stationed in South Carolina
years ago and I so loved the charm of Charleston.
We recently purchased a home & renovated it and had a driveway &
RV parking area poured in concrete. My husband, being the sweet man he
is decided to surprise me with a porch! I was out on errands and when I
came home, what a surprise it was...oh how I love that man of mine.
Twenty five years together and....yes he knows me well. :D We will be
re-landscaping next spring...so ignore that aspect of it. I cannot wait
for sunny days & sweet tea on the porch, watching the darling little
ones play outside and my puppy running wild. Without further
adieu...drum roll please....my lovely little front porch.

| BEFORE: No porch, just Rhodies...I don't care for them. |
 |
| BEFORE: (Forgot to take pics of forest green before pic on door w/brass hardware). White trim on door & header. |
 |
| AFTER: New porch curing! |
 |
| AFTER: Found my bench at European Flair Antique Shop in a neighboring town. |
 |
| AFTER: Forgot to take before pics. There was no trellis only small boxwoods used to lines the walkway. |
 |
| AFTER: Painted door & trim black. Painted header white. |
 |
| My sister sent these from Hobby Lobby...I love them! |
I actually moved so fast with the remodel & moving in at same time
(was so overwhelmed with work) that I neglected to take true before pics
of front door area & walkup. The front door WAS originally forest
green with polished brass hardware. We painted it black & added new
nickel hardware. I painted the trim on the front door black &
corrected the header that was the house color and painted it white. The
cement is still curing and the yard is terrible, we plan to do new
landscaping in the spring. Oh and added a rooster weather vane...just
love roosters :D a touch of french country.
 |
| Oh and not porch related, but had my Rooster weather vane installed yesterday too! |
 |
| Love it! |

| PS. Riley says Hello ;D |
