Christmas Home Tour 2016

I cannot believe just how fast this year has gone by. We have been at our current home four Christmases now! We love our home but especially our neighbors. We are grateful to God for the new empty nesting chapter of our lives, we feel like honeymooner! We added a few new traditions this year that included Christmas night walk (was soo cold 30 degrees), and my husband joined in my yearly tree watching, lol. Since I was a teenager I have turned off the light in the home and made popcorn and cider & just sat and basked in the beauty of the lit up Christmas tree. I reflect on the beauty of the season and snuggle with my husband (used to be my girls I'd snuggle with). There is a peace that washes over me as I remember what CHRISTmas is really about.  I hope everyone has some special time to take it all in and feel the peace of the Holy Spirit and remember Mary & Joseph's journey and the gift of the newborn baby Jesus.

Without further ado here's the house in all her glory. Merry Christmas my friends...may the season bring you hope, love peace & joy.

Blessings~LK

Frozen Nativity
We were hit with an ice storm, poor little birdies.
Dangerous Beauty! Our street lost a large portion of it's trees :(
My Mom gave me her darling snowman and I had an etsy shop make a tiny red scarf for him.
I refinished these gold & white deer with white chalk paint, le dirt and wax.
Grandma's Angel redone from teal/burgundy to pewter & white. Refinished my Nativity pic to white & pewter.
This is my Mom's old Santa that I discovered had mold on him do to a leak in her attic years ago.
I pulled him apart and bleached his body and reattached his head & arms. Replaced everything else.
His new black velvet knickers finally came. He is my Father Christmas redone in black, white, pewter & silver.
Grandma's deer (once gold), now redone in pewter. Gold crown redone in pewter as well.
Kirkland's distressed white Nativity
Love the simplicity of the cotton wreaths this year.
Daytime view of the tree.
All is calm all is bright....
