To Be Put On Daily Ephesians 6:10-18
1) Helmet of Salvation
Ask for protection over everything that encompasses
our heads - mostly our minds, eyes, and mouths. Ask God to help us seek Him
first, His kingdom, His righteousness, and know that everything will fall into
place when we do (Matt 6:33). Pray Philippians 4:6-7 - do not be anxious about
anything, but in everything through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God - and then ask God to take over our thoughts
and take away our anxieties - and the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Ask for that to
be true for us-as we change our thoughts to His thoughts, that His peace would
guard our hearts and minds. Then
continue on in Philippians 4:8 and ask that God fill our minds with
whatever is good, right, just, praise worthy, excellent, lovely, and admirable
(paraphrase). Since temptation starts in the mind, now ask that God keep us
from temptation (Matt 6:13). And that when we are tempted that He provide a way
out before it becomes sin (I Cor 10:13). Ask that He guard our mouths and make
only good things come out of them.
2) Breastplate of righteousness
Since the breastplate covers our hearts, Pray that
God will help us love Him with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strength
(Luke 10:37); to pursue Him with passion; to fall in love with Him;  and make Him the first love of our lives. Ask
that He help us to love others as ourselves and to remember that actions
without love are nothing. Ask that He help us to confess our sins and repent
daily. Ask that He help us by His Spirit, which dwells within us, to live
righteous lives. And to remind us this is our act of sacrifice & worship to
Him (not our will by His will), to live righteously and allow Him to sanctify
us through and through, to stay close to Him daily.
3) Sword of the Spirit
Since the Sword is the Word of God; take this time
to recite the memory verses from the bible study  we are in. Start with the week we are on and
then work in random order. Or choose verses yourself & memorize them.
4) The Shield of Faith
Say out loud, "In the name of Jesus, Satan be
gone!" And really mean it. Say it with emphasis. Ask for protection over
every part of us in every place that we might be. Ask for protection over our
families, friends and everyone our churches and bible study groups. Say out
loud I believe God is who He says he is, through Him I can do all things
including the task He sets before me, He can turn all things bad that happen to
me into good & use it for my benefit, He can protect me from my enemy
(Satan), I believe in God.
5) Belt of Truth
Ask that God's truth surround us and hold us
together; that His truth be our boundary and what hems us in. Ask that we
always be able to discern His truth & what is from Him & from Satan.
Ask that we live His truth out daily & that others see Him (& His
truth) by the way we live our lives.
6) Shoes of Peace
Ask that that God direct our path (Psalm 199:105),
that He make our way straight (Proverbs 3:6). And that as we walk down His path
towards Him, He would provide His peace that surpasses all understanding (Phil
4:7) Ask that we seek to be peacemakers in lives not troublemakers.   AMEN
