Sweet Cornbread



Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of Yellow Corn Meal
  • 3 cups of Flour
  • 2 TBS of Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • 1 cups of Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • cup of Oil
  • 6 TBS of Melted Butter
  • 2½ cups of Buttermilk
  •  
Directions:
  • Preheat oven. Grease 9X13-inch pan.
  • Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder & salt.
  • In separate mixing bowl combine sugar, eggs, oil, butter & buttermilk; add dry ingredients.
  • Mix together & pour batter into prepared pan, bake.
Fluffy Deliciousness!
 Honey Butter:
  • 1 stick of softened butter mixed with ½ cup of honey
Cook Temp: 350°F
Cook Time: Bake 35-45 minutes or until light golden brown and toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center.
Serve With: Chili, stew, slumguli, chowder, salad, etc. Top with honey butter.
Notes: A family favorite.
Yields: 12 Servings
