Ingredients:
- 4½ cups sugar
- 1-13 oz can of evaporated milk
- 3 12 oz bags semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 8 oz jar marshmallow cream
- 1 cup (2 sticks) of margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups walnuts or pecans-optional
Directions:
- Mix together in a large bowl; jar marshmallow cream, melted margarine.
- Cream margarine and marshmallow together and add chocolate chips.
- In saucepan mix sugar with evaporated milk.
- Boil 7 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly (rolling boil).
- Pour hot mixture over chocolate mixture.
- After chocolate has melted, add 2 cups of nuts and 1 tsp. of vanilla, blend well, pour into large pan lined with wax paper and chill in refrigerator.
- Cut into squares before it gets too firm.
Serve With: I make this and serve it at Thanksgiving get
together.
Notes: My husband's Grandma used to send this at Christmas
for us all. I have since kept up the tradition and make it at Thanksgiving & Christmas. Everyone in our family loves it.
