Caramel Apple Crisp

Hot out of the oven..delishy!
Ingredients:
Filling:

  • 8-9 cups of peeled sliced apples (Use sour apples, ie: Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Caramel Syrup; either homemade or ice cream topping type

Crumb Topping:

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of dried oatmeal
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup of butter cubed butter

Directions:
Filling:

  • Peel & slice apples.
  • Mix cinnamon & flour together in a bowl & add apples; coat well
  • Add to ungreased 9x13 pan and drizzle caramel over apples.
  • Top with crumb topping; bake uncovered.
Drizzle with Caramel Sauce
Crumb Topping:

  • Add all the ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Use a pastry cutter to "cut in" all ingredients together & make into crumbs.
Place in the oven and bake.
Cook Temp: 350°F
Cook Time: 45-55 Minutes.
Serve With: Vanilla ice cream or top with cool whip.
Notes: One of my husband's favorites.
Yields: 12 Servings.
