| Father's Day 2012 |
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 2 tsp hot water
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks); softened
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp of vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups (12oz) of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts; optional
Directions:
- Preheat oven.
- Cream together the butter & sugars until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time; add vanilla.
- Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water and add to batter along with the salt.
- Stir in the flour.
- Add the chocolate chips & nuts; mix well.
- Drop large spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; bake.
- Remove cookies from cookie sheet, let stand for 1-2 minutes on cookie sheet.
- Remove cookies to a cooling rack.
- Cool completely & store in an airtight container.
Cook Temp: 350°F
Cook Time: 10-13 Minutes, depending on how soft
you like them.
Notes: A family favorite.
Yields: Approx 28 Large Cookies
