Our Family Mission Statement

Several years ago I felt the need to define our family's mission statement. I do encourage you to define and write one for your family too. Whether your are a great writer, or a not, it doesn't matter. Write from your heart, that's what God sees, our hearts. Whether or not your kids will follow this during the teen & young adult years in a whole other topic I could blog away on! The teen & young adult years are very tough and Godly parents are not excluded from that, in my opinion Satan temps & attacks the children of the Godly far more than the Ungodly. He know our biggest weaknesses and will exploit them in any way he can. Stay on your knees in prayer during these tough years and...remember (hold tight to this verse) God's Word  tells us to; Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:5-7

Feel free to use parts or all of our family mission statement ......to God be the Glory!
~Blessings & Peace~Larisa

The mission of our family is…
To show others Christ in us by displaying:
Love, faith, truth, peace, joy, forgiveness, grace, mercy, respect,
gentleness & patience.
To provide opportunities for each person
To become responsibly independent,
Yet effectively interdependent within the body of Christ,
While growing more dependent upon Christ.
To use our Spiritual gifts to Serve Christ & His Church,
With all of our hearts, minds, bodies & souls.
In order that we may achieve worthwhile purposes
In completing the good works the Father has prepared in advance for us..
To work hard giving 100% to everything you do,
As if you are working for the Lord.
To be teachable; having a heart, mind & soul thirsty for the wisdom & knowledge
That comes only from God, growing in our faith all the days of our lives.
To seek God’s discernment & direction for our lives.
To see our own sin and repent quickly.
To live righteously, being careful to use good judgment but not judge others,
That is a burden only God must bear..
To live in the world but not become worldly, lusting after the things of this world,
Which are not eternal & will one day be dust; to store up our treasures in heaven.
To keep our eyes, minds, & hearts on Godly things
For where our hearts lie so there our treasure will be.
To teach and pass on our Christian faith & love for the Lord to future generations.
To love others as we would ourselves.
To help others in need as God commands...
To see the potential in others, knowing that God's love can transform anyone.
To put God first, and He will take care of the details of our lives.
To forgive others, as Christ forgave us.
To extend mercy & grace in abundance to others.
To wisely use our time, talents, and resources to bless God and others.
To worship and serve together...Forever.
